Amy, Rylan, and I just got back from Portland. It is crazy how fast it got cold here in Idaho. We’ve already had snow! I am not ready for the winter just yet, but I guess winter is not waiting on me. I actually enjoy all the seasons, but the winter is the hardest in Idaho because the days are short and there is only so much you can do in the house. Maybe we will find the time to go skiing or sledding or something. We have to make the best of what we have, right?
I am looking forward to the Finals. I don’t really like Vegas, but being at the World Finals always has an excitement about it. It is crazy to think that this will be my 9th Finals. I have to say, “Thank you, Lord!” I never would’ve imagined qualifying for the PBR World Finals and actually winning it one year. You never know what will happen until you step out and go for your dreams. I wonder how much more I could be doing for the Lord if I would just trust Him more than I do. There are plenty of times everyday that I just do what is comfortable for me and ignore or disobey the Holy Spirit’s prompting. Things like telling the cashier how much God loves them, or paying for someone’s meal that could use the help, or even praying for a loved one when they call. Kody Lostroh told me a verse that really spoke to him recently and it got me thinking too. Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust the Lord than put confidence in man.” God will never let us down, and I have been let down plenty of times by people. I hope that you will not let the hurts and disappointments you have experienced in your life keep you from trusting in the Father’s love for you. Trust Him for everything! He is the one who has allowed you to make a living. He is the one who provides the food, shelter, clothes. I mean obviously we get these things with the m0ney we make, but without God giving us the abilities and talents and desires and freedom to work, where would we be?
Well, enough ranting for now. I hope I have got you thinking about your relationship with the Father. Read your Bible, pray, and share His love with everyone! God bless.

Wiley, I thank God for you. Reading your posts are a blessing for me, and I am sure for everyone who reads them. One of the big reasons I love watching PBR is to see how the cowboys are so free to let everyone know how they love the Lord. There are not many events where they will openly acknowledge God. Some aren’t allowed to do so. That is so sad. While other religions are allowed to openly do their thing, we Christians are not allowed to even pray or give God thanks openly, they say they are offended. WHAT?? That just doesnt make sense. So when the Christians in the PBR can openly recognize God and show their love for Him, its wonderful, and it excites me. I just pray no one will shut it down. I cant imagine how anyone can survive in this day and age with out knowing God. He is my provider, and even though I am laid off of my job now, I know He will carry us through each day. And if I am meant to get another job, He will provide it in His time.
Thank you again for your words of encouragement Wiley. God bless you. I love you in the Lord. And I am honored to have you as my brother in Christ.

Hey Wiley,
I really liked this blog! Between what you said and the verse Kody mentioned, I needed that one today. Funny how I come across it two weeks after you post it, and it applies to my attitude today pretty strongly.
Thanks I needed that.
Oh and please keep the snow up there, we haven’t gotten any yet and we are not ready for it yet!
Take Care and God Bless

Hi Wiley! This is a fan from Alabama! We saw you not to long ago when you were in Birmingham. I just wanted to say thank you for you ministering heart. God is using you in a big way! My husband and I are the childrens pastors at our church and we have 3 children. Horses and rodeo are a large part of our lives. It is very rare that we can be proud for our children to look up to someone that they see on TV. My son thinks you are the greatest! Since he was 1 he has been sitting on the arm of our couch “riding bulls”, he has now moved on to the roping dummy…lol!!! I would be proud for him to follow in your steps. I tell him follow your dreams, but follow the Lord first! When we saw you in Birmingham you signed his hat and for halloween he dressed as YOU!!! I just want to encourage you to keep on doing what you are doing, you are making a differnce! We have been watching the finals and we pray for your safety and for your family! Thank you again for your ministry!!!!!!! May the Lord Bless you and your family! In the name of he who was born in a stable, Leslie Cobb

Hi Wiley and Family,
My name is Britney Carroll and I am writing to you today for my 4 yr old son Liam. We live in Saylorsburg,pa and since Liam was 2 he has been watching the pbr. It’s that or animal planet all the time. He loves the bulls (Booger Butt) to be exact, and you are his favorite rider. He loves how silly you are(he says) and that you are always smiling. We are also a religious family, my boyfriend Doug got me back into going to church every week and finding our faith. Liam loves it and he likes the big crosses on your chaps! We hope very much to get out to see you at MSG in January as that is the closest venue to us, but times are tough and we may not make it this year unless santa can deliver!
Just incase we do I was wondering if you sign autographs before you ride or are there any special events that you do out our way? He would really love to see you ride booger butt so maybe you could post something when you choose him so we can make sure we catch you on tv. We would love to see the two of you, so hopefully we will get out to a show soon. Thank you for everything you stand for, I couldn’t ask for a better idol for my little guy, stay safe and keep up the good work!
Best Regards,
Britney Carroll
